Coast LC Spotlight

We had tryouts this past Sunday, and it was so great to see everyone. We’re so excited for the summer 2023 season (it’s right around the corner) and all that it will bring!

Additionally, we are PUMPED to announce two commitments! Marianna Dick, a rockstar 2023, is headed to Westminster College. Katie Meneses, an amazing 2024, is taking her talents to Missouri Western State!

Stickwork of the Week

For this week’s wall ball, we’re keeping it simple. Complete this circuit and time yourself.

  1. Dominant hand (x100)

  2. Non-dominant hand (x100)

  3. Quick stick switching hands without ball. For example: Throw right, switch while the ball is hitting the wall, catch left. Speed it up to challenge yourself. (x100)

  4. Quick stick switching hands with ball, For example: Throw right, catch right, switch to your left, throw left, catch left. (x100)

Remember, as always, to keep these points of emphasis in mind:

  • Remember to keep your feet moving

  • Don’t worry about drops, just pick the ball up and keep it moving

  • Go fast, but don’t sacrifice good form/habits

Recruiting tip of the Week

Focus on today.

What you put into anything is what you’ll get out. If you have big dreams and goals, it does you no good to stress about how you’ll reach them.

Instead, break them down into actionable daily habits that you can do every single day. Doing the right small thing over and over is how you achieve the big goal in the end.

Win the moment, win the day, win the week. Pretty soon you’ll be within reach of every goal you’ve ever had. It’s important to dream big but start small.
